MANCHESTER, N.H. — Although the McIntyre Ski Area lodge was filled with Republicans on Tuesday evening, no MAGA hats were visible. Instead, white trucker caps bearing a different political brand were seen throughout the room. At approximately 8:30 p.m., John E. Sununu, aged 62, stepped onto the stage to announce his win over Scott Brown in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. His comments notably did not include any reference to the president who had endorsed him earlier in February.
