The post was removed by the platform, but not before sparking a heated reaction, including a derogatory response from a White House spokesperson who dismissed Maines as “a despicable nobody.”

Maines is no stranger to controversy. In 2003, she criticized then-President George W. Bush during a London concert. Her comments triggered backlash within the industry, particularly from Toby Keith, leading to a public exchange of words.

“I hate it,” Maines said, criticizing Keith’s song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.”

Keith dismissed her as “not a songwriter” and used a provocative image of Maines at his concerts.
