Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker Charles Snowden will miss the first three games of the 2026 NFL season. This suspension follows the settlement of a DUI arrest from 2024. An NFL spokesperson confirmed the details to Fox News Digital.
Snowden will be absent from the season opener against the New York Giants, as well as home games against the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens. Despite the suspension, he is permitted to participate in the Cowboys’ preseason events, including three games.

Snowden, aged 28, reached a plea agreement in January. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge. Consequently, he was fined $1,000 and required to attend coroner’s and DUI courses. If he meets these conditions, his charge will be reduced to reckless driving.
The linebacker joined the Cowboys this offseason after a tryout and minicamp invitation. Snowden initially signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2021. However, he appeared in only two games and did not play in the subsequent seasons of 2022 and 2023.
Snowden’s tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024 and 2025 marked his most productive period. During the previous season, he achieved three sacks, 28 combined tackles, five tackles for loss, and an interception across 15 games, starting nine of them.
Snowden’s off-field issue has brought a temporary halt to his recent career momentum with the Cowboys.
