Facing Isolation to Protect Others

3 days ago 0

For three days in June, I posed a threat to all mammals. I secluded myself in a shabby motel room. It felt like I was an outlaw from the 1930s avoiding capture. Beyond my window lay a real dump.

I slept at the foot of the bed. I wanted to stay far from the wall, just in case someone was nearby and at risk. My primary concern was to avoid contact with pregnant women and children under 10.
