A Florida man, Christopher Michael Veit, 53, has been arrested on charges of kidnapping a teenage girl and hiding her in a clothes dryer at his Key Largo residence, as reported by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The authorities received a call around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday from a teenage girl who claimed she was being held against her will. Responding officers located her inside a clothes dryer.
Veit faces charges that encompass kidnapping, false imprisonment, and unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Officials suggest he restrained the girl to hide her in the dryer.
Victim’s Condition and Investigation
The victim was not from Key Largo and was found without life-threatening injuries. After being examined at a local hospital, she was returned safely to a family member.
Investigators found evidence pointing to a sexual relationship between Veit and the girl. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Florida Department of Children and Families, is continuing the investigation. Additional charges could be laid.
