Mark Wahlberg and Martha Stewart’s Tributes

Mark Wahlberg posted a video on Instagram of an American flag waving, expressing that the anniversary is a profound emotional moment. He captioned the video, “This anniversary is always a gut punch of emotions… words just can’t say it all. #neverforget911 #freedomisntfree”.

Martha Stewart shared a personal story about witnessing the attacks while she was in Tokyo. She recounted watching live footage of the World Trade Center’s destruction on television and facing hours of uncertainty about her family and friends’ safety. Seeking solace during that time, she traveled to Kyoto. Stewart found peace at a Miho temple, where, despite it being closed, the organ played “America the Beautiful”, moving her and her group to tears.

Rob Riggle and Dean Cain’s Remembrance

Rob Riggle reflected on the “apocalyptic” scene at Ground Zero while he searched for survivors after the attacks. Royal Family Observance

The British royal family acknowledged the anniversary with a commemorative ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Their social media post on X mentioned a Changing of the Guard ceremony that included renditions of both the U.S. and U.K. national anthems, as well as “Hymn to the Fallen” and “Amazing Grace”. King Charles III and Queen Camilla paid their respects at the 9/11 Memorial in New York during their U.S. visit earlier this year.

Musical Tribute in New York City

New York City will host musical tributes to honor those affected by the attacks. Cyndi Lauper will perform along with artists like Lainey Wilson and John Ondrasik from Five For Fighting during the “9/11 Tribute in Light: Live from Lower Manhattan”. This event honors nearly 3,000 victims, survivors, families, first responders, and communities.
