According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was conducting an investigation in the 7000 block of West Anderson Lane. Specific details about whether any individuals were injured have not been confirmed yet.
Rep. Greg Casar, D-Texas, publicly stated that an ICE officer shot an individual in Austin. He urged for a comprehensive investigation and the release of any body-camera footage. In his statement, he criticized past actions of ICE, calling for truth and accountability.
