Influencer Connor Murphy Dies in Apparent Drowning in Thailand

Connor Michael Murphy, known for his “looksmaxxing” content, died on July 7 in Thailand. He was 32 years old. Friends confirmed his passing on social media the following day.

Incident Details

Authorities in Samut Prakan, located approximately 16 miles from Bangkok, reported that Murphy drowned. A video recorded at a luxury rental property showed him before entering a nearby lake. Witnesses said Murphy swam for a few minutes before appearing to lose strength. Due to the depth of the lake, witnesses did not attempt a rescue.

Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation later retrieved his body, found roughly 20 meters from the shore. Initial police examinations found no signs of assault. His body was sent for post-mortem examination.

Murphy, who had a large following on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, was known for his transformation from a teenager to a fitness model and bodybuilder. His content focused on physical appearance improvements within the looksmaxxing community, associated largely with fitness and sometimes extreme measures.

He was staying with his 22-year-old girlfriend, Bee, in a luxury villa under a three-month rental agreement. The villa, valued at approximately $600,000, was rented for about $1,000 monthly.

Police discovered parts of the villa covered in black and yellow paint. Bee noted that the damage appeared overnight while she was asleep. She reported to local media that Murphy’s behavior seemed unusual that day and confirmed that she never witnessed him using drugs.

Prior to his death, Murphy’s last update on social media was a video posted on July 3. Reports mention that his last YouTube content was shared six days before his passing.
