General Jack Keane, a senior strategic analyst for Fox News, has publicly defended Israel’s military actions and praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations. Keane joined Brian Kilmeade to analyze the ongoing conflict, emphasizing Israel’s efforts to safeguard civilians. He criticized allegations of genocide directed at Israel and shared insights from his recent 11-day visit to the region, highlighting the complex tunnel network in Gaza.
Keane condemned Hamas for employing human shields during the conflict. In contrast, Navi Pillay, who chaired a UN commission accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee recognized Pillay’s dedication to promoting peace and international law, asserting that strong judicial systems are crucial for mediating global conflicts.
Pillay, an experienced jurist, has weighed in on the Israel-Hamas conflict. The UN Commission of Inquiry, led by Pillay, concluded in 2025 that Israel’s actions in Gaza constituted genocide. The report specifically accused Israeli leaders of inciting such acts. However, Israel dismissed these findings as distorted.
Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, president of Shurat HaDin Law Center, questioned the Nobel Committee’s decision, arguing that the prize should honor those fostering peace. She challenged Pillay’s contribution to Middle Eastern peace, noting the region’s ongoing conflicts.
Pillay, who was born in South Africa to a Tamil Indian family, founded her law firm in 1967, breaking racial barriers in the province. She represented anti-apartheid activists and contributed to securing rights for political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela. Her judicial career advanced when she served on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, setting precedents in international law regarding genocide and crimes against humanity.
In 2003, Pillay joined the International Criminal Court, facing criticism from figures like President Trump. Later, as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, she censured both Israel and Hamas in the 2014 Gaza conflict. She critiqued U.S. funding for Israel’s Iron Dome, advocating for equal protection for Gazans. Pillay now serves as an ad hoc judge, addressing accusations of genocide against the Rohingya in Burma.
