Kolvet emphasized that young men are seeking mentors who can help them navigate complex social environments. He highlighted the need for voices that offer sense and direction amid chaos. ‘They need help’, Kolvet noted, adding that influencers like Clavicular offer some guidance.
Focus on Looksmaxxing
Clavicular, a popular influencer, has gained attention for promoting ‘looksmaxxing’, a trend focusing on physical self-improvement through fitness, grooming, and facial enhancements. One extreme practice, ‘bone smashing’, involves using a hammer to induce microfractures in the jaw, aimed at stimulating regrowth. Clavicular admits to practicing this but advises against trying it without professional guidance.
Despite finding Clavicular charismatic and entertaining, Kolvet advises young men to focus on character development rather than solely on appearance. ‘Instead of ‘looksmaxxing’, we need to be promoting ‘charactermaxxing’,’ he urged.
Health Concerns
Medical experts have raised concerns about the safety of ‘bone smashing’ due to potential serious injuries. This cautionary stance highlights the importance of prioritizing health and safety over unproven cosmetic practices.
On the ‘Hang Out with Sean Hannity’ podcast, Clavicular shared his perspective on ‘looksmaxxing’. He described it as a comprehensive form of self-improvement, asserting that enhanced appearance can positively influence numerous aspects of life.
Call for Positive Mentorship
Kolvet stresses that the path to success for young men is in finding positive mentors. He appealed to older generations to actively mentor young men, offering them guidance and support in navigating today’s challenging social scene.
‘Please, find young men you can mentor. This can be the breakthrough many young men need’, Kolvet concluded.
