Recent revelations have emerged about a suspected terror plot against a UFC event near the White House. Authorities apprehended five individuals across four states, accused of planning to execute explosive drone attacks and sniper ambushes. During the investigation, officers seized weapons, ammunition, tactical gear, and phone screenshots of potential targets.
Officials have made public the mugshots of all five suspects. One suspect is depicted smiling, despite being accused of orchestrating what prosecutors describe as a “mass casualty event” aimed at President Donald Trump and other prominent figures during the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House.
The arrests occurred this month through a multi-state operation, following federal authorities unveiling a supposed coordinated plan involving explosive drones, sniper teams, and safe houses designed to support an assault on the event. Despite the plot targeting a White House event, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, stated her office is not involved. She noted that jurisdiction requires activity within the district.
Details of the Suspects
The alleged leader, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, from Omaha, Nebraska, is recognized as the principal figure in targeting the White House UFC Freedom 250 occasion. Tycen C. Proper, 19, from Ohio, reportedly compiled a list of 46 targets, spending $3,000 from graduation money on weapons and tactical gear, with writings indicating extremist beliefs.
Bryan Omar Roa, 24, and Michael Alan Thomas, 32, both from California, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Roa participated in encrypted group communications about the operation, while Thomas allegedly discussed escapes if group members were detained, suggesting they assist any fellow members in breaking out of jail if necessary.
Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, from Kidder, Missouri, allegedly offered his property as a safe house and discussed building a hidden bunker. He was involved in talks regarding acquiring explosive materials.
Plot Details
The group reportedly intended to deploy drones loaded with explosives over the White House UFC event. Their plan included targeting officials and security during a forced evacuation. Prosecutors assert the goal was to drive high-value targets towards a southern evacuation route, where sniper teams awaited.
Documents reveal discussions about sourcing military ordnance, after recognizing their lack of explosive manufacturing expertise. Notably, targeting the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, Kansas, was considered.
The criminal proceedings are ongoing.
