Nova Music Festival Survivor Responds to New York Politician’s Netanyahu Allegations

A survivor of the Nova music festival attack by Hamas has challenged allegations made by Zohran Mamdani against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Mamdani had labeled Netanyahu as a “war criminal” in a video, a stance that Mazal Tazazo found “dangerous.” Tazazo shared her thoughts in a video posted on X by radio host Jason Rantz, countering Mamdani’s claim that Netanyahu orchestrated “a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people.”

In his video, Mamdani expressed agreement with the International Criminal Court, stating, “Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for his crimes.” He encouraged the federal authorities to enforce any arrest warrant if Netanyahu visits New York City in September for the U.N. General Assembly.

Tazazo responded with, “I was shocked today when I saw that video. It’s so dangerous. What’s happening there is not genocide. People died. Yes, this is a war. It’s very sad. But why? Because the terrorists hide behind their people.” Her statement referenced the Israel Defense Forces’ claims that Hamas uses civilian structures for military purposes.

“If you want to really understand what’s going on here, come,” she added. “I’m Mazal Tazazo, nice to meet you, survivor of the Nova. You can come to Israel, nobody gonna arrest you, OK? You can come to Israel and hear my story and hear the story of Israel and go around the place.”

Jason Rantz mentioned that Tazazo “absolutely unloaded on Zohran Mamdani for threatening to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu.”

In Mamdani’s video, he clarified that “my administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here.” He noted that New York City lacks independent legal authority to enforce the warrant but urged the federal government to collaborate with the ICC to execute it.

Mamdani accused Netanyahu of causing the deaths of over 73,000 people, maiming many children, and targeting neonatal hospitals and maternity care centers. He also alleged that Netanyahu blocked essential aid from reaching those in need.
