Oscar Alvarez, a young Cuban American, is quietly advocating for democratic socialism across Miami. Yet, there’s one place he struggles to talk about it: his family’s kitchen.

On June 5, at a meeting with residents of Silver Court mobile home park in Miami, Alvarez was seen second from the left, engaging with the community.

As his mother was occupied in the kitchen and his brother rested after a beach day, Alvarez discreetly collected his materials. He packed a tote bag with socialist zines before leaving.
