Recent audio recordings have provided new insight into a domestic violence case involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. The audio, sourced from TMJ 4, captures a dispatcher conversing with a police officer. The dispatcher noted ‘yelling and screaming’ audible from inside Jacobs’ Wisconsin home.
In the recording, the dispatcher informed the officer, ‘Things being thrown, open line…Possibly a male and female.’ Another call revealed a neighbor reporting an assault linked to Jacobs’ residence.
Upon reaching Jacobs’ home, officers discovered he had departed in his Mercedes G-Wagon. Police pursued his vehicle using license plate readers, issuing a call to stop him if spotted.
Jacobs was detained on multiple domestic abuse charges following a Hobart-Lawrence Police Department investigation. He faces charges of domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation, suffocation, and victim intimidation. While strangulation and suffocation are felonies, the other charges are misdemeanors.
Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public.
This statement was issued by Jacobs’ lawyers, David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac. They requested fairness and patience during the legal proceedings.
The NFL has been informed and contacted the Packers. Green Bay has chosen not to comment due to the ongoing investigation.
Jacobs, who completed his second season with the Packers, accumulated 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. Previously, during his time with the Las Vegas Raiders, he led the league with 1,653 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 2022.
