The family of Perez Hilton has released a new update regarding his condition following a challenging period. Months after the blogger appeared to harm himself during a livestream, the family has provided some positive news.
According to a statement on Hilton’s website dated November 3, he has shown improvement since the August incident. He now spends time with his three children. In an effort to support his healing, he has moved into a partial hospitalization program and is residing in supportive housing while receiving ongoing mental health care.
“It’s been three months since our family began navigating this difficult time,” the family expressed in the update. “While it hasn’t been easy, we’re grateful to have some positive news to share about Perez’s recovery.”
The incident in question occurred on August 4 when Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandiera Jr., was hospitalized. This followed a TikTok livestream during which he appeared to inflict harm on himself. Concerned viewers notified Miami-Dade officers in Florida, leading to Hilton’s hospitalization for treatment where he was reported to have suffered significant blood loss necessitating surgery.
This situation remains fluid, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
