Vinny Pacifico’s Journey in Wrestling and Film

Professional wrestling demands relentless dedication, making it tough to balance with personal life. When adding film and TV projects, managing time becomes even more challenging. Vinny Pacifico, a wrestler from Staten Island, New York, has successfully managed both professions. He has not only gained fame in the wrestling ring but also entered the film industry.

Pacifico’s latest venture is his role in the film “I Dream of Pizza,” directed by Matt Provenzano. The movie follows a pizza-making prodigy who relocates from Italy to New York City, only to discover that his planned business has fallen into the hands of an Italian crime family. The film stars Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Michael Leavy, Giorgio Cantarini, and Vic Dibitetto. “I Dream of Pizza” is in pre-production, but meanwhile, fans can catch Pacifico in “Mr. Reset and the Society of Turnbuckle & Bone” and “Between the Living and the Dead.”

“When they approached me about ‘I Dream of Pizza,’ it was described like ‘Goodfellas’ meets ‘Ratatouille.’ I couldn’t resist the opportunity,” Pacifico shared.

He emphasized his excitement about participating in his first Italian-themed film, given his own Italian roots. Pacifico looks forward to revealing more cast additions, with filming taking place in New York and potentially in Italy.

Dedication to Dual Careers

Despite his growing presence in film, Pacifico remains committed to his wrestling career. He travels frequently between wrestling organizations such as Coastal Championship Wrestling in Florida and Hollywood Wrestling. Pacifico desires to maintain both careers as long as possible.

“I want to continue wrestling and filmmaking indefinitely. Maintaining my health through physical therapy keeps my wrestling career viable,” he stated.

Pacifico emphasized the importance of prioritizing physical well-being in wrestling. He undergoes regular massages, acupuncture, and stretching to withstand the physical demands of constant travel and performances. The importance of maintaining his body for both wrestling and film projects is clear.

The Independent Wrestling Scene

On the independent circuit, Pacifico has connected with many personalities who share his passion. Wrestlers like Richard Holliday, Ben Bishop, Effy, and Rhett Titus have gained popularity and might thrive in film according to Pacifico.

“Richard Holliday and Ben Bishop have what it takes for film. Effy, with his unique style, is involved in potential projects I’m working on,” Pacifico remarked.

Pacifico continues to explore his dual career paths, remaining energized and committed.
