A TikTok livestream featuring celebrity blogger Perez Hilton allegedly engaging in self-harm at his Miami home prompted numerous calls to local law enforcement. The Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they received “multiple calls” regarding the disturbing video. Deputies arrived at Hilton’s residence, spoke with family members, and verified that Hilton was alone inside. Due to the situation, deputies opted to “tactically disengage” while keeping watch on developments.
The Sheriff’s Office emphasized their de-escalation strategy in such scenarios, focusing on creating time and distance to allow for communication. This approach helps minimize risks and prevents encounters that could lead to further harm. Newsweek attempted to contact Hilton’s representatives but did not receive a timely response.
The video, now removed from TikTok, depicted Hilton causing himself harm, with visible signs of injury. TikTok has suspended Hilton’s account. Details regarding other individuals present during the event remain uncertain, though Hilton is known to have three children. His son, born in 2013, and two daughters, born in 2015 and 2017.
Hilton has faced health challenges in the past, including a hospitalization in March due to an ulcer and subsequent sepsis from flu medication taken on an empty stomach. He later received treatment for deep vein thrombosis, necessitating a procedure to remove a blood clot from his leg.
Expressing gratitude, Hilton revealed a newfound connection to his faith. “God did something that I can only describe as a miracle,” Hilton shared online. He credits his survival to divine intervention, recounting years of calling out to God and experiencing what he describes as a transformative revelation.
