The Philadelphia Eagles claimed a narrow victory against the Tennessee Titans with a 24-20 scoreline on Sunday. The win was clinched by a crucial game-winning touchdown pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Despite Hurts’ impressive 264 passing yards and two touchdowns, his performance was marred by two interceptions. Tank Bigsby led the Eagles’ ground efforts, but could only manage 33 yards, leaving the running game lackluster.
Under the new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, the Eagles have achieved a 2-0 start to the season. However, doubts are emerging about the offense’s effectiveness.
ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith expressed concerns about the team’s offensive capabilities as the season progresses.
“I’m concerned. I don’t like what I’m seeing with the Eagles’ offense,” Smith remarked on Monday. “Jalen Hurts is a winner. He found a way. But the reality is, when you look at the potency of the Dallas Cowboys, when you look at the potency of offenses in the NFC North, when you look at the NFC West, you see a plethora of teams that can end up looking much better than the Philadelphia Eagles if they don’t figure it out.”
Looking ahead, the Eagles are set to challenge the Chicago Bears in a primetime “Monday Night Football” clash during Week 3.
