In Ramsay, Montana, rancher Barry McCoy has observed declining cattle prices over the past two months. This is partly due to the uncertainties surrounding President Trump’s tariffs.
The situation worsened when President Trump announced in August that tariffs would be lifted on 660 million pounds of foreign beef. This beef would then be sold at reduced prices in American grocery stores, quickly earning the label of ‘mystery meat’ due to its unknown origin.
