Senator Darline Graham Triumphs in South Carolina Republican Runoff

Senator Darline Graham, endorsed by President Donald Trump, secured a victory over Representative Ralph Norman in South Carolina’s Republican primary runoff, as projected by NBC News. Graham won with roughly 52% of the vote compared to Norman’s 48%, marking a win for Trump who actively supported her candidacy.

Trump passionately campaigned for Graham following the death of her brother, Lindsey Graham, six weeks earlier. Graham decided to pursue a full six-year Senate term after being appointed to the seat by Governor Henry McMaster. Trump’s support included an in-person rally in Myrtle Beach and a virtual rally. Additionally, a super PAC aligned with Trump contributed $830,000 to bolster her campaign.

“Because everyone loves her, everyone respects her,” Trump stated, emphasizing Graham’s commitment to putting America first.

Graham, who was previously unversed in national security issues, focused on domestic policies, emphasizing affordability. During a debate with Norman, she admitted a lack of expertise in national security.
