Steven Borden Suffers Injury at AEW All Out Pay-Per-View

Steven Borden stepped into the ring at the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) pay-per-view event, All Out, with high hopes. Teaming with Darby Allin, they faced off against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher. The match aimed to determine the No. 1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championship. Borden, the son of wrestling legend Sting, looks much like his father and has been climbing up in professional wrestling.

The match showcased the skills of all four wrestlers, with Borden and Knight attempting a memorable stunt from opposite turnbuckles. Knight successfully executed his move. Unfortunately, Borden landed awkwardly, striking the back of his head on the mat. This led the AEW referee to halt the match, declaring Knight and Fletcher the winners.

Tony Schiavone, an AEW broadcaster, reported that Borden was conscious and responsive post-injury. He was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. AEW owner Tony Khan later updated the media, stating, “Steven Borden is awake and responsive at the hospital. All tests, including a CT scan, have shown positive results. We hope he can fly home to his family soon.”

This incident serves as a reminder of the risks athletes face in the ring, comparable to those on football or basketball courts. Fans and fellow athletes hope for Borden’s speedy recovery, allowing him to return to wrestling.
