TikTok Couple Arrested for Arson in West Virginia

A social media couple with a following of 28,000 on TikTok was arrested in West Virginia for allegedly setting fire to an abandoned home. This act may have caused over $10,000 in damages to a nearby church.

Arrest and Charges

Dakota Harper, aged 21, and Felicity Eatmon, aged 22, face charges of first-degree arson and conspiracy to commit an offense, according to the Kanawha County Magistrate Court. These charges carry the potential of a life sentence.

In a viral video, Harper is shown at his arraignment. Court records describe him as standing 3 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 43 pounds. During his court appearance, an officer adjusted his chair, leaving his head barely visible above the desk. Eatmon, who has referred to Harper as her fiancé in their videos, is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and joined him in court.

Fire Incident

The fire was reported late at night on the West Side of Charleston. Surveillance footage allegedly shows the couple setting the fire. Eatmon reportedly handed Harper a piece of paper, which was then lit and placed inside the abandoned home.

Investigation reports state the house had no active utilities and was left smoldering into the next day. The adjacent Canaan United Methodist Church sustained significant damage due to the fire.

Legal Proceedings

Both Harper and Eatmon are held on $10,000 bond each. The case remains under investigation as authorities examine the extent of the damage and the circumstances leading to the fire.
