Federal court documents reveal concerning details about the recent deaths of two University of Mississippi students. Aidan Hamilton, 18, and Robert Strang, 20, were found with Mitrogynine and controlled substances MGM-15 and MGPI in their bloodstreams. Toxicology reports discovered these substances, known to be present in Smax-Mango Breeze pills, which were found with the students at their time of death.
KRATOM INDUSTRY WARNS SYNTHETIC OPIOIDS SHOULD NOT BE CALLED ‘KRATOM’
Authorities disclosed packaging related to kratom products during investigations. This discovery included Smax Mango Breeze MGM-15 packages priced at $39.99, each bearing a distinct black smudge on the price tags.
Yahya Mohamed Mosleh, 51, and his son, Islam Mohamed Mosleh, 18, are facing federal drug charges. Investigators linked purchases made by Hamilton and Strang to the Moslehs’ Oxford tobacco shop, Puffs Vape, Tobacco and Beer Store.
Law enforcement carried out controlled purchases from Yahya Mosleh, revealing a product concealed in a locked container. Despite local bans on these products, officers found identical Smax Mango Breeze packages during a search.
Lab tests confirmed those products contained Schedule 1 controlled substances. Financial records of Hamilton and Strang show purchases at Puffs coinciding with their deaths.
Authorities believe these drugs led to overdoses. They possess probable cause that drugs tested were consistent with those seized from the Moslehs.

As investigations continue, the University of Mississippi community grapples with the tragic losses.
