Trump Comments on Hunter Biden’s Potential 2028 Presidential Run Amid Political Speculations

3 weeks ago 0

During a recent exchange, President Donald Trump entertained the idea of Hunter Biden running for president in 2028. This suggestion came after Hunter became active on the social media platform X, sparking rumors of possible political aspirations.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Trump about Hunter’s chances in a Democratic primary. Trump acknowledged Hunter’s past issues, noting, ‘I would say his past is not the greatest.’

Trump mentioned Graham Platner, a Maine Senate candidate facing several controversies. Platner has dealt with scandals involving deleted social media posts, a controversial tattoo, drug allegations, and other personal issues. Despite his troubles, Platner is still polling competitively against Sen. Susan Collins.

Trump quipped that if Platner can manage the political spotlight, perhaps Hunter could too. He likened Hunter’s potential candidacy to that of James Talarico, a Texas Senate candidate. Talarico has drawn comparisons to Alfred E. Neuman, a fictional character, suggesting if Talarico can succeed, so might Hunter.

The conversation took place during an event centered on Trump’s administration’s coal energy investments. Trump also provided an update on President Joe Biden, describing a private meeting they had post-2024 elections. When asked about Biden’s cognitive abilities, Trump stated, ‘No, not really. He was the same guy I’ve been watching for a long time.’

Despite ongoing critiques, Trump indicated Biden was competent at their meeting but noted potential changes during subsequent debates.

Representatives for both Trump and Hunter Biden were contacted by Fox News Digital for additional comments.
