In a Truth Social post made on Monday, Trump expressed his endorsement, stating, “It is my Great Honor to endorse America First Patriot, Jennifer Balkcom, who is running to represent the wonderful people of North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District!”

The congressman’s decision came in the wake of a report from the House Committee on Ethics. The report suggested censure for Edwards due to findings of “persistent unprofessional and inappropriate conduct” towards two young female staffers. Although Edwards denied any romantic or sexual intentions, the report indicated that his behavior, including providing lavish gifts, making comments on appearance, inviting staffers to personal events, and expressing effusive affection, could be perceived otherwise.
