Trump Weighs in on LeBron vs. Jordan Debate

President Donald Trump recently addressed a longstanding debate in basketball: who is superior, LeBron James or Michael Jordan? For Trump, the decision is straightforward. He firmly supports Jordan.

Trump stated, “Michael Jordan is a guy who’s a friend of mine, play golf with him. He’s a good guy. And I think LeBron, maybe he’s a racist, but maybe he doesn’t like Trump. I only like people that like me. So, I would say Michael Jordan all the way,” during a meeting in the Oval Office.

This question emerged when James announced plans to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. According to ESP, he will sign a two-year, $8 million contract.

Michael Jordan had an illustrious career, playing in the NBA for 15 seasons and winning six titles, all with the Chicago Bulls. He retired twice, once to play baseball after the Bulls’ first championship in the 1993-94 season. After retiring again for three years, he concluded his career with the Washington Wizards.

LeBron James is entering his 24th season, his first with the 76ers. He started with the Cleveland Cavaliers for seven seasons before joining Miami Heat’s “Big 3” alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. His first two titles came with Miami in 2011-12 and 2012-13. After four seasons, James returned to Cleveland, leading them to a title in 2015-16 against the Golden State Warriors, overcoming a 3-1 series deficit. He later moved to the Los Angeles Lakers, securing a title in the 2019-20 season, achieved during the COVID-19 pandemic bubble.
