President Donald Trump warned of expanding military operations against Iran, promising to strike fiercely until Iran agrees to negotiate. In an interview with Fox News, Trump emphasized planned consecutive strikes, with U.S. Central Command conducting operations near the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump detailed future targets, including Iran’s power plants and bridges, pushing for negotiations. He remarked on a suspension of plans to impose a toll on vessels in the region, preferring Middle Eastern nations to invest significantly in the U.S. instead.
“Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants,” Trump stated, confirming intentions to disrupt Iranian infrastructure unless negotiations occur.
Trump elaborated on reimposed naval blockades on Iranian ports, claiming substantial impacts on Iran’s military strength. Despite this, he noted that Iran retains some ability to fight, likening the situation to a boxer returning unexpectedly to fight.
The president reiterated frustrations over Iran’s perceived instability in negotiations, highlighting that U.S. representatives have engaged but faced broken promises from Tehran.
In the discussion on military objectives, Trump confirmed success in maintaining open passage through the Strait of Hormuz, essential for global energy supply, despite reduced traffic levels.
“They’ve been degraded to a very low level,” President Trump commented, stressing Iran’s diminished military capacity while acknowledging their lingering ability to retaliate.
