Vincent Pastore: A Life Remembered

Vincent Pastore, known for his role as Tony Soprano’s confidant turned informant on HBO’s ‘The Sopranos,’ has passed away at age 80. His manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed that Pastore, a long-term resident of the Bronx, New York City, died at home. The cause of death remains unspecified. Pastore’s character, Salvatore Bonpensiero, was affectionately known as ‘Big Pussy’ to fans of the show.

Pastore was renowned for his portrayal of characters entwined in the intricate and often violent lives of the Italian American mob. In 1999, he became widely recognized after being cast as Bonpensiero, a trusted friend to mob boss Tony Soprano, who ultimately becomes an FBI informant.
