This week, the White House generated attention by sharing a graphic on Instagram titled “America’s Eras Tour.” This image, inspired by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour posters, celebrated former President Donald Trump. The timing of the post coincided with Independence Day celebrations.

The graphic featured a collage with historical images of Trump and included the caption “It’s been a long time coming.” This phrase is a lyric from Swift’s well-known Eras Tour. While the graphic caught the eye of social media users, many were quick to point out the irony.

Trump had previously criticized Swift. In a 2024 statement, he expressed strong disapproval of the singer, saying, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” The White House’s choice of branding has led to criticism from those accusing the administration of borrowing Swift’s style despite Trump’s critical stance on the singer.
