Over 115 million people are facing exposure to hazardous smoke and poor air quality. This situation arises as wildfire smoke moves across the nation, prompting health warnings in at least 17 states spanning from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic.

The spread of smoke has resulted in significant disruptions. Many flights are experiencing delays. Public pools and beaches have been closed. Numerous outdoor events and activities face cancellations.
