However, amidst the excitement, a retweet by President Trump went widely unnoticed. He expressed displeasure over Somali immigrant children being celebrated at a kindergarten graduation while wearing hijabs.

Criticism arose about religious expressions, highlighting tensions between Christian nationalism and other faiths. Importantly, these children were integrating into society by attending a public charter school. This reflects the participation and contribution immigrant families make to the community. The event demonstrates how the U.S. embodies both multiculturalism and assimilation.

The World Cup showcased the merging of diverse cultures, uniting people in their passion for soccer. Many American fans support the U.S. team while also cheering for other nations like Norway or Argentina due to personal connections. In places like Anaheim, Calif., cultural celebrations occurred for both national holidays and international soccer victories, displaying shared pride in heritage and nation.

The tournament celebrated the U.S.’s cultural diversity, with new traditions such as halftime shows and tailgating being embraced. Visitors experienced American hospitality and diverse cuisines. Immigrants contribute significantly to the culture by integrating language and customs while enriching American society with their own traditions.
