Maj. Taylor Hiester, the commander of the F-16 Demonstration Team, is gearing up for a special flyover event at the Great American State Fair in Washington D.C. This event is designed to honor America’s 250th birthday. Hiester emphasizes the patriotic importance of this mission, drawing on inspiration from historical events like Flight 93. He also aims to motivate young people to chase their dreams through the U.S. military.

Tragic Incident in California

An American Forces Network employee died on Tuesday following a vehicle collision near a military base in California. The incident happened as the employee, who remains unidentified, was driving to work at March Air Reserve Base, located 60 miles east of Los Angeles, around 8 a.m.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, this person was later found to have suffered a gunshot wound. Both drivers involved in the collision were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Ongoing Investigation

The Moreno Valley Investigation Bureau is handling the case, and no additional details are available as the investigation is in progress. Initially, deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon report. The California Highway Patrol informed deputies that both parties involved were in critical condition. However, specifics regarding the events leading up to the shooting remain undisclosed.
