Temperatures soared near 100 degrees across various regions in the country on Saturday. Forecasts indicate further increases on Sunday.

During the Tour de France on Tuesday, cyclist Thibault Guernalec was seen pouring water over himself to manage the intense heat.

A severe heat wave in France led to several renowned landmarks shutting their doors earlier than usual over the weekend. This weather condition also compelled the organizers of the Tour de France to adjust one of the race routes scheduled for Sunday.
