Maddie Muhs, 33, posted screenshots of these communications on Instagram. She told Newsweek, “Divorce and co-parenting often appear negative online. I wanted to highlight relationships that end but remain healthy.”

In one text, her ex provided a reminder about trash collection, offering to help with carrying items outside. In another, he mentioned arranging a car service appointment, demonstrating his ongoing assistance. Concern for her safety was evident when he asked if she shared her location while traveling alone. A supportive message included, “They know you love them. You’re a great mother.”

Her Instagram post has garnered over 70,000 likes and shares. Muhs shared that their co-parenting success rests on their commitment to their children. However, this path was challenging. “We’ve faced difficulties, and it hasn’t always been smooth,” she admitted. Despite the hardships of divorce, prioritizing their children’s well-being remains their focus.

Over time, Muhs and her ex-husband recognized the value in maintaining a positive relationship for their children’s sake. Muhs noted, “Once the bitterness subsided, we could see this clearly. His well-being reflects on the kids, and vice versa.” She regards her relationship with her children’s father as vital, even after their marriage ended.
