Vincent Pastore, ‘The Sopranos’ Star, Passes Away at 80

Vincent Pastore, beloved for his role in ‘The Sopranos,’ has died at 80. His manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed his passing, noting it occurred at Pastore’s home in The Bronx. Attermann expressed that he had the privilege of representing Pastore for over 30 years. Pastore gained fame as Salvatore ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero, a key character in ‘The Sopranos.’

Pastore’s career extended beyond ‘The Sopranos.’ He appeared in numerous films including ‘Goodfellas,’ ‘A Bronx Tale,’ and ‘Carlito’s Way.’ His television credits included shows like ‘Blue Bloods,’ ‘Law & Order,’ and ‘General Hospital.’ He also lent his voice to a ‘Yellowjackets’ episode.

Attermann described Pastore as passionate about acting. He was generous with young actors, always offering guidance. Pastore competed in reality shows like ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’

Attermann shared personal sentiments of Pastore being amongst the kindest people he knew. He appreciated his fans, never refusing a photo or autograph. Attermann will miss Pastore’s loyalty and humor. He offers condolences to Pastore’s family and fans, acknowledging his legacy.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee.
