Scott Eastwood recently opened up about a memorable incident involving his father, Clint Eastwood, directing a film. During an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, Scott shared that everyone on set maintained immense respect for his father. Clint Eastwood was known for never raising his voice while working.
In his story, Scott mentioned a time when Clint collaborated with Kevin Costner. He recounted how Costner, who was rising to fame, was reluctant to leave his trailer on the set of “A Perfect World.” Scott noted, “I’m sort of going to paraphrase it, and I’ll probably tell it a little wrong.”
The situation escalated as Clint, who directed and starred in the movie, decided to send Costner home, even though he was scheduled for the scene that day. Scott explained, “So he sent him home, and I guess they just went to Kevin and said, ‘Hey, you’re going to go home for the day.'” This firm action led Costner to return the next day ready to film. Fox News Digital reached out to Costner’s representatives for comment.
“A Perfect World” features Costner as an escaped convict, with Clint playing a Texas ranger. Reflecting on his own experiences, Scott talked about how growing up with a famous father shaped his professional conduct. He observed some shocking behavior in the industry while visiting his father’s film sets.
On “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Scott mentioned how his father protected him and his siblings from the potential pitfalls of child stardom. They lived away from Los Angeles, in Carmel, allowing them as normal a childhood as possible, despite their father’s fame. Scott appreciated how Clint emphasized the importance of learning how the world works by maintaining a private family life.
