F-16 Intercepts Aircraft Over Ohio

2 hours ago 0

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) reported that an F-16 fighter jet intercepted a ‘general aviation’ aircraft violating temporary flight restrictions in Geneva, Ohio. The aircraft was safely guided away by a NORAD jet as stated in their release.

The Air Force used flares to signal the pilot. They emphasized that flares are safe, burn out quickly, and pose no risk to those on the ground. NORAD urged, ‘Pilots: check your Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) and FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions.’

President Trump was in Geneva, Ohio, attending the 2026 Patriot Games finale. Recently, NORAD also intercepted two aircraft over Bedminster, N.J., during Trump’s visit to the LIV Golf Bedminster tournament at his New Jersey golf course.
