Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor event took place at the iconic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Friday night. Wrestling fans were treated to some of the most exciting matches of the year. Although title changes were scarce, the efforts displayed were remarkable.

Bandido successfully defended his Ring of Honor World Championship against Nick Wayne. The match was intense, with Wayne sustaining injuries after being scraped against steel steps. Both wrestlers exchanged German suplexes, with Wayne landing a cutter on Bandido. Bandido responded with a poisonrana and secured victory with a crucifix pin after Wayne executed the Prodigy Plex.

The main event featured Athena, who aimed to maintain her reign as Ring of Honor Women’s Champion against Hazuki from Stardom. Hazuki performed impressively, countering several of Athena’s maneuvers. Despite taking hits, including a splash on the announce table and a suplex on the entrance ramp, Athena prevailed. With teamwork from Billie Starkz and Diamanté, Athena delivered the O-Face to pin Hazuki and extend her 1,350-day title reign.

Two Ring of Honor championships changed hands during the event. Action Andretti captured his first singles title, the Ring of Honor TV Championship, by defeating Lio Rush. Help from Hook and Anthony Bowens assisted Andretti as he executed a dramatic 450 splash through a table.

Additionally, The Outrunners, along with Dalton Castle, defended the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship against Lethal Twist, consisting of Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson. With strategic aid from Lethal outside the ring, Christian achieved the pinfall, seizing the titles.

The crowd’s energy was palpable, cheering with enthusiastic chants. As Ring of Honor looks to the fall, the year promises excitement for its top wrestlers.
