Curtis Pushes for Investigation into Trump Jr. and Biden

A Republican senator is advocating for scrutiny into two prominent figures. Sen. John Curtis from Utah is urging the Senate Judiciary Committee to investigate Donald Trump Jr. and Hunter Biden. The committee, chaired by Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is being asked to subpoena the two and have them testify about alleged foreign business dealings related to their influential fathers.

In his letter to Grassley, Curtis suggested that presidential family members have possibly exploited their connections to enhance their business ventures.

“A toaster is a wedding gift,” Curtis tweeted, referring to a letter he sent. “A private-island party funded by an oligarch is different.”

The senator pointed to past GOP efforts to probe Hunter Biden’s foreign engagements, emphasizing the need for consistency. Recently, attention has focused on reports surrounding Trump Jr.’s wedding festivities on a private island. Curtis claims these occurred through links with a Russian oligarch.

These concerns are heightened by additional activities involving Trump Jr. His dealings include promoting family-backed cryptocurrency projects and seeking international real estate deals with foreign leaders. He also holds ties to defense contracting and prediction markets influenced by federal regulatory outcomes.

A May wedding party involving Trump Jr. reportedly received funding from a Russian oligarch. This individual, connected to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and associated with a controversial international boxing group, crosses paths financially with the Russian state-owned Gazprom.

According to financial disclosures reviewed by Fox News Digital, Donald Trump Jr. has played a vital role in expanding his family’s economic footprint. His initiatives, spanning areas like crypto, elevated income remarkably from $620 million to $2.2 billion between 2024 and 2025.

Curtis mentioned the prevalent public perception of governmental corruption. He stressed that efforts to eliminate it should transcend party lines.

“The country should not accept differing standards for the families of presidents from different parties,” Curtis stated.

Trump Jr.’s dealings, Curtis noted, warrant examination similar to probes conducted concerning Hunter Biden. These relationships with foreign entities pose potential risks, potentially prompting biased treatment that threatens national security.
