On October 31, 2026, a tragic shooting occurred at a Spirit Halloween store in the Bay Area, resulting in the death of a pregnant woman and injuring six others. The victim, identified as 31-year-old Constance Hages, was pronounced dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to the incident at Solano Town Center around 8:30 p.m.

Among the injured, three male victims aged 16, 19, and 32 are in critical condition. A 23-year-old man is hospitalized, remaining in critical but stable condition. Two other male victims, aged 18 and 43, received medical attention for gunshot wounds and were released from the hospital.

As of Saturday afternoon, police have not yet made an arrest. Fairfield Police Chief Dan Marshall informed that detectives are actively working to identify the suspect. It is believed that the shooting was targeted, involving someone inside the Halloween store.

The incident triggered an extensive law enforcement response, as families were present in the store, shopping for last-minute Halloween supplies. Daniela Seabra Rios described witnessing a chaotic scene, as people ran and screamed, prompting her and her son to take cover in their car until police arrived.

Chara Brazley shared the distressing experience of her 24-year-old daughter, an employee at Ulta Beauty located in the same shopping center. Her daughter heard multiple gunshots while preparing to close the store, a scene Brazley noted her family had never encountered in their years of visiting the mall.
