4 weeks ago 0

Rod Stewart, the legendary rock musician aged 81, recently canceled two Las Vegas performances mere hours before they were set to take place. Originally scheduled for May 29 and 30 at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, the concerts were called off following advice from his physician.

A spokesperson for Stewart informed the Las Vegas Review that the shows were canceled due to medical advice. However, Stewart plans to resume performances on June 2. The artist expressed his regrets, stating, “My apologies to my family of fans. I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer.”

Reports also indicate that concertgoers were notified of the cancellation less than two hours before the concerts were supposed to start.

“Feels like the colosseum is cursed,” said one fan in response to the news.

Despite the cancellations, Stewart remains committed to his music. Having announced a farewell tour, he clarified that while he would cease large-scale world tours, he has no intention of stopping live performances entirely. In a statement, he shared, “This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. I love what I do, and I do what I love.”

In relation to his health and fitness, Stewart boasted in a past interview about his vigorous fitness routine. At 79, he mentioned his ability to run 100 meters in 18 seconds. He attributed his fitness to lifelong soccer, maintaining a consistent exercise regimen, and unique underwater training sessions.

Rod Stewart remains enthusiastic about his music journey, demonstrating his perseverance and passion for live performances despite the recent health setbacks.
