Aaron Judge Returns to Yankees Lineup After Injury

San Diego, Sept. 7, 2026 — Aaron Judge stepped into the batter’s box at Petco Park on Friday, marking his return to Major League Baseball after a 96-day absence due to a stress fracture in his right rib. Judge’s presence is anticipated to positively impact hitters like Ben Rice and Cody Bellinger. Rice’s wRC+ dropped from 189 to 115 after June 1; Bellinger’s decreased from 141 to 86 without Judge.
