Allegations Surface Against Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle

12 minutes ago 0

Businessman Eric Deters alleged misconduct by Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador to Greece and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr. He claimed Guilfoyle requested a $100,000 wire transfer to pay her American Express bill in exchange for assistance within the Trump administration. This allegation emerged shortly before Guilfoyle’s Senate confirmation hearing.

Deters expressed belief in a pay-to-play situation. He stated that Guilfoyle should lose her ambassadorship over the alleged behavior, referencing text exchanges between them published by the Wall Street Journal. Deters told CBS News that Guilfoyle offered him a quid pro quo.

According to Deters, he did not provide the money, citing financial constraints. He claimed he fabricated an excuse, involving his wife’s disapproval, to avoid making the payment. Sources informed CBS News that White House officials confirmed the authenticity of texts between Guilfoyle and Deters, which some Trump aides reportedly found displeasing.

In the reported text messages, Guilfoyle allegedly contacted Deters days before her confirmation hearing, requesting a payment that would not be traceable. “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” she supposedly wrote to Deters on July 3.

Deters, a longtime Trump supporter, had unsuccessfully run for office and faced disciplinary action from the Ohio Supreme Court. He has sought media and political support for extraditing Dr. Abubakar Durrani, accused of healthcare fraud. Deters expressed frustration over not receiving the desired support for his efforts.

In text exchanges, Deters proposed potentially profitable outcomes from Durrani’s extradition to Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle’s associates, stating they could benefit from it. Deters no longer practices law but once stood to gain financially if he succeeded in suing Durrani.

After Trump announced Guilfoyle’s nomination as U.S. ambassador to Greece, Deters suggested her influence waned post-breakup with Trump Jr. He admitted an inclination to believe she would assist him, but noted her diminished standing within the Trump circle.

Deters claimed Guilfoyle recognized the inappropriateness of her request, expressing irritation at the documentation he maintained. She allegedly advised using encrypted communication platforms to avoid leaving a paper trail.

Deters shared that Guilfoyle had not fulfilled his requests, which included booking him on Tucker Carlson’s podcast. He claimed he offered $1 million if Durrani settled and she secured the booking.

He also sought Guilfoyle’s help in arranging meetings and advancing personal interests, emphasizing a need for tangible results. Guilfoyle countered by refuting the accusations and providing documentation of her efforts on Deters’ behalf.

Deters revealed payments made to Guilfoyle and Trump associates for appearances and other services, asserting significant financial contributions to “Trump World” but denying outstanding debts.

Guilfoyle appeared in Greece as Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed press inquiries, arguing against prematurely accepting unconfirmed reports as truth. Vice President JD Vance acknowledged generic concerns about officials soliciting debt payments but refrained from specific comment.

Deters voiced determination to bring attention to Dr. Durrani’s victims and advocated for Guilfoyle’s removal from her ambassadorial role, expressing a readiness to proceed with legal depositions.
