Amnesty International Reports Atrocities by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces

Amnesty International has accused Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of systematically targeting civilians, including children, and engaging in ethnic cleansing. The RSF is a rebel paramilitary group involved in a violent conflict with Sudanese armed forces.

In a report released this week, Amnesty International claims that the RSF committed crimes against humanity during its capture of El Fashir, a city located in the Darfur region, last October. The rights group highlights the RSF’s role in the ongoing violence and their attacks on civilian populations, emphasizing the severe human rights abuses occurring in the region.
