Anuel AA Jokes About Social Media and Karol G

Anuel AA and Karol G, once engaged for two years, called it off in 2021. Anuel AA recently clarified comments regarding his social media relationship with Karol G. In an interview with Billboard, he mentioned joking about asking Karol G to unblock him. He noted he never seriously pursued it.

The Puerto Rican rapper had taken to Instagram in the past, urging Karol G with the plea, “RETURN KAROL G. UNBLOCK ME BB. IT’S NOT THAT I’M A PLAYER. IT’S THAT I FALL DEEPLY IN LOVE.” This plea was in relation to his song “Vuelve,” meaning “return.” Anuel admits to teasing his ex with no real intent behind his words.

“No, I’m just messing with her. But maybe she’ll unblock me,” he remarked. He added that he wishes peace with some exes.

When asked about a hypothetical movie about his romantic life, Anuel humorously suggested the title “Anuel’s Love’s a Bitch,” forecasting it would have strong sales. They first met in 2018 on the “Culpables” music video set. Their relationship became public in November 2018, culminating in an engagement by April 2019. Yet, in April 2021, they announced their breakup.

Karol G addressed the difficulty of their public breakup on social media. She expressed the challenge of sharing personal struggles in the public eye, insisting their relationship was never for marketing.

“If just accepting it is hard enough, imagine having to do it in front of millions of people,” Karol G wrote.

Despite their split, Karol G and Anuel shared a stage during her Bichota Tour, maintaining mutual respect on social media thereafter. By July 2024, Karol G revealed that her album “Mañana Será Bonito” helped mend her heart post-breakup.
