A newly purchased foreclosed house in Burlington, Connecticut, was the site of a shocking discovery. The buyer found the skeletal remains of three individuals upon entering the property.
The new homeowner reported finding suspicious remains in the house in Burlington, Conn., on June 14.
The identities and causes of death for the individuals remain unknown, but authorities have stated no evidence suggests criminal activity. The deaths are believed to be isolated incidents.
The home, styled in Cape Cod fashion and built in 2002, was acquired for $525,000 at auction on June 6 by Edward Marchion. Court records provided details of the transaction. Marchion placed an $82,000 deposit, though the house had a fair market value of $820,000.
The previous owners, Paul and Sally Anne Cash, had a loan of nearly $400,000 with Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing before foreclosure.
Attempts to reach Marchion for comments about the discovery were unsuccessful.
