Bret Michaels, the renowned musician, has provided a health update to his fans following his recent struggle with a kidney stone. The 63-year-old took to Facebook to inform his followers that he is recovering well after a procedure to remove a stubborn kidney stone.

Recovering After Procedure

Michaels shared his journey on Wednesday, July 22. He expressed immense gratitude for the doctors, nurses, and frontline workers who cared for him during his hospital stay. He explained that the kidney stone caused significant pain, and after nearly a week of enduring discomfort, the stone refused to pass naturally.

Despite the pain, Michaels continued to perform at scheduled concerts in Charleston, WV, Grantville, PA, and for veterans at Fairchild AFB in Spokane. However, the morning following his third concert, he had to be admitted to the hospital as the pain became unbearable.

Back on His Feet

He assured fans that the operation was successful and expressed his determination to recover fully to return to the stage. Michaels emphasized the importance of family, friends, fans, and healthcare professionals in his journey to wellness.

In a photo shared on Facebook, Michaels is seen in a hospital bed, humorously mentioning that he was eventually persuaded to change into a hospital gown from his concert attire.
