Caitlin Clark Reaches Milestone with 600th Assist in Record Time

Caitlin Clark has quickly established herself as a standout player in the WNBA. In just three seasons, she has achieved impressive milestones. Recently, Clark reached her 600th assist in a 109-75 victory over the Las Vegas Aces. She accomplished this in only 72 games, setting a new WNBA record.

Despite not having an exceptional personal performance in the Indiana Fever’s decisive win, Clark’s contributions were significant. She ended the game with 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Her playing time was limited to 24 minutes because of a back injury.

Her teammates took over the scoring duties. Kelsey Mitchell led with 27 points, Aliyah Boston added 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Sophie Cunningham came off the bench to contribute 20 points, including six three-pointers.

Clark’s record assist came in the third quarter with a pass to Monique Billings. At that moment, the Fever were ahead by 13 points and extended their lead further in the fourth quarter. Although her minutes remain restricted, Clark is expected to increase her stats when she returns to full strength.

Speaking about her injury and playing time, Clark said, “I feel good. Had a hard workout day after the Phoenix game. Felt great there, and then obviously, we had practice yesterday. So, feel ready to go, and excited to play 25 minutes, and excited for my spurts to be a little bit longer, so that should be fun.”

Clark had a standout rookie season, recording 337 assists, but an injury limited her performance in 2025. She currently has 148 assists this season, averaging 7.8 assists per game, second only to Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury.
