The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared the end of a parasite outbreak. This outbreak had affected thousands and was traced to shredded iceberg lettuce from central Mexico.
The CDC cited a notable reduction in infections as a key reason for announcing the outbreak’s conclusion. Another contributing factor was the removal of contaminated lettuce from both stores and restaurants.
