Chris Hemsworth’s Costa Rica Vacation and Flight Scare

Chris Hemsworth recently shared experiences from his family vacation in Costa Rica, which included a frightening incident during a flight through a lightning storm. The 42-year-old actor documented the trip with his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children in a YouTube vlog.

The video showed the small plane surrounded by lightning and experiencing turbulence, clearly unsettling Hemsworth. His concern was visible as he mouthed words in disbelief. In his video caption, he described the flight as a ‘crazy plane ride.’

The couple, married since 2010, has three children: daughter India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan. Known for their love of adventure, they often share moments from their explorations both in Australia and during overseas trips.

The vacation experience came after Chris Hemsworth had publicly shared his shift in priorities about work and family. This change followed a health revelation during his work on National Geographic’s series “Limitless.” Genetic testing revealed him to carry two copies of the APOE4 gene, linked to a higher risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

After this was publicized in 2022, he took a hiatus from acting, leading to speculation about his retirement and health status, which he found distressing. Addressing these rumors in a 2024 Vanity Fair interview, he expressed frustration over the false claim of his alleged dementia or retirement intentions.
